This policy explains how Melton International handles personal information when you visit our website or contact us about a sourcing project.
Information you share
We collect the name, company, email address, optional phone number, material selections and project details you send us. If you provide attachments, we also receive those files and their names, types and sizes. Please exclude identity documents, payment details and personal information unrelated to your project.
Why we use it
We use this information to respond to your inquiry, assess sourcing requirements, prepare proposals, coordinate a project you engage us for and maintain related business records. Submitting an inquiry does not subscribe you to marketing emails. We do not sell your personal information.
Who may receive it
Access is limited to people and service providers who need the information for these purposes, including website hosting, email, database and file-storage providers. Where needed to obtain a quote or fulfil your project, we may share relevant specifications with manufacturers and logistics partners, including in China and Turkey. We aim to share project specifications without personal contact details unless those details are needed for the engagement.
Online forms, files and hosting
When direct online submission is available, inquiries and attachments are processed through Supabase. Attachments are intended for private project review, not public display. Selecting a file alone does not submit it. The website shows a confirmation only after the submission is saved. If you contact us by email instead, your message and attachments are handled through our email provider.
Hosting and security providers may process technical information such as your IP address, browser details and request logs to deliver and protect the website. We do not add advertising trackers or behavioural analytics to this site. Where a security challenge is enabled, its provider processes information needed to detect automated abuse. The hosting platform may use cookies needed for access and authentication.
Processing outside Canada
Service providers or project partners may process information outside Canada. Information processed abroad may be subject to the laws and lawful access requirements of that jurisdiction. Contact us if your project has specific confidentiality or data-location requirements before sending files.
Retention and protection
We retain information only for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry, perform an engagement, maintain required records or resolve a dispute. Retention varies with the relationship and applicable obligations. We use access restrictions and appropriate technical and organizational safeguards; no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your choices and requests
You may request access to or correction of your personal information, ask about deletion, or withdraw consent for future use, subject to legal or contractual limits. Withdrawal may prevent us from responding to or continuing a project. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
